Okay, this is one for the conspiracy theorists who think Dom is dead. Well as you can see he is not…but he might soon be. The snake is a constrictor and underneath that stylish skin of his lies a body of solid bone and rippling muscle able to crush a man in seconds. Yes I’m afraid I am still talking about the snake, not Dom.
This is the famous night safari and it was worth every penny. What’s great (if slightly terrifying) about this zoo is that the animals aren’t caged. The large animals are kept at bay by deep ditches and the occasional bit of very thick glass. Yes, it wasn’t terribly comforting to watch the lion roar from our open-sided tram, wondering if the ditch was big enough!
Some of the smaller animals you can get right up and personal with - the snake being one, and also a cage full of bats, which seemed to have slight difficulty interpreting the difference between bananas and ears. The whole thing was rounded off nicely with a fire dancing display from some loin-clothed men – well this is the zoo after all!

Yup a prime example of a ferocious boa......come on Dom adopt it - it looks lonely.
